Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes, particularly within the general trading, oil & gas, and project supplies sectors. This role involves managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project requirements and company objectives.
- Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
- Collaborate with sales managers, business coordinators, and engineering teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support project schedules.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues that may impact project delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in general trading, oil & gas, and project supplies.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
- Solid knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and market analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
